The Belly Report-26 Weeks

It just keeps getting cuter & cuter, right? (note sarcasm here). I am at 26 weeks in these pictures & am looking very pregnant. I went to the doctor last week and I have gained a total of 15 pounds througout the pregnancy -- mind you he told me at the very beginning of all this that he wanted me to gain 35 pounds (because I started out on the small side). So if I do my math correctly, between now & the end of January I have 20 MORE pounds to gain??? That is disgusting if you ask me & I don't get where all that is going to go. In all actuality, it will probably end up on my rear & that is where my disgust/fear comes in...better keep on walking, right? I guess I just don't get this whole body morphing thing yet...like how can I get my old self back? All of you moms out there probably find this quite amusing & most times I find myself amused by it too. I figure if I have to gain 20 more pounds (hopefully closer to 10 more) at least I will do it eating holiday food draped in a festive sweater! :) By Christmas, I may resemble the Abmonible Snowman! Yeah for pregnancy!

You tiny little thing! Well, to make you feel better, I gained a total of 40 pounds during my pregnancy! I too was on the little side (weird that as soon as you're pregnant, the BMI requirements change...). And, I've lost all but 5 pounds of it. But, my body is not the same. You can weigh as much as you did in high school, but your clothes fit differently, and your body looks different, too. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones, and you'll bounce back to your preshape... but be prepared for your tummy, hips, and boobs to be permanently altered! For the most part though, it's worth it! :)

HA! Im loving it Amy. You look great. Dont worry about the weight gain. I was told I needed to gain 30 and actually I had only gained 17 when I delivered Carolyne. 2 days after I had her I was wearing my normal clothes again and I actually weighed less than before I got pregnant. It will come off. Dont sweat it. Although, do be prepared to buy bigger shirts. I tell ya, if you breastfeed, your boobs grow like 10 sizes! Actually, I still wear the same size bra but my old shirts fit pretty snug up top!

Your belly looks really cute. Don't worry about your weight. It's been 10 months and I still have about 5 to 10 pounds to lose. I am told it is because I am still breastfeeding. Hopefully that's true.
About the Oprah thing they say it is for babies 0 to 3 months. Once they are older than 3 months they begin to make different sounds, however they will continue to do the sound if they were responded to and their needs were met each time they made that specific sound. Cameron doesn't really cry when he is hungry anymore because he is eating breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks in between and nursing. So it's hard to tell.
My sister has an 8 week old and I have been listening to his cries and can totally pick out the "neh" and "eh" (hungry and burp).
I will definitely try to use it with my next baby though. If I were you I would study up on it. I bet it would really really help.
I hope you are doing well. We need to plan a time to hangout when you are here.
