D-Day is Quickly Approaching

That would be Delivery Day...Monday, Jan 29th. And to be honest if I have to answer the question one more time about how I can know for sure...there are going to be some problems! For the record & last time, I know for sure because it is a scheduled C-Section & let's just leave it at that. I always find it odd when, men especially, feel the need to ask a follow-up question to that response. I mean, really? Even better is when they then feel the need to enlighten you of their own experiences...as if they have experienced childbirth and as if I care to hear the gory details. There is a personal line that as been crossed & at that point I have checked out!
Now that we've got that covered...I have to say I am thrilled to have a scheduled C-Section 2 weeks prior to my due date. Right now I am just mildly uncomfortable, but I can only imagine it goes downhill from here until the baby is born. So to all those that have had to deliver late...kudos to you! Anyway, here I am in my present state:

Is anyone else looking at those pictures & wondering how my shirt can stretch to such great lengths? Trust me...it is bad enough when your normal clothes stop fitting, but when your maternity clothes begin to not fit...it is enough to send you over the edge. Last night, I went shopping with my mom & sister (mostly for baby stuff) but of course we had to hit up Ann Taylor and Banana Republic for my mom and it was a sad day for two reasons. 1 - I just miss my old body that could fit into those clothes...I mean Motherhood Maternity...uck! and 2 - (which is the real kicker) I really am not going to have the need to wear that $200 dress from Banana Republic any time soon...cute as it may be (and trust me, it was cute!) AND let's be honest here, diapers could be eating up that portion of the budget! Ahhh...let's just hope he's cute and doesn't mind a ratty t-shirt instead, right?
Scot and I have discussed that this is our last weekend kid-free...yet we have no fun plans! What the heck? So let me know if you have any suggestions!
Next Post...Baby Pics...Yeah!

Best of luck!!!

If you need to talk to a fellow c-sec-sis, just give me/my mom a call! Please take care of yourself, it's ok to be selfish during such a time!

Can't wait to see some baby pics! And what about nursery pics?!?!?!?!

Leah made me erase my comment because it said it was from 'our family' instead of saying 'james'...so anyway, good luck guys. Have fun and enjoy your last few quiet dinners! :)

No it wasn't because it said "our family" it's because that is all it said. You wouldn't know who it was from. I wanted him to say, James and Leah.
Anyway, good luck with everything. We can't wait to finally see him! You are in our prayers.

just had to laugh about the c-sec stuff. but trust me the uncomfortable questions post delivery keep coming. i always marveled when people asked me when we were having #2. are you serious? my stomoach looks like a deflated ziploc bag, zipper and all and this random person is concerned about future procreation. really? people are nuts. :)

but, zach is darling; glad it went well!
