A Visit to the Doctor

Zack had his second visit to the doctor this morning...where they have to ##### his heel for blood. Can I just say it was so dang sad! I started to get teary for the poor guy. I was glad that Scot was there, so I didn't have to be the one holding this hand. He had the loudest & saddest cry. It broke my heart.

He is still sleeping & eating well...back up to his birth weight so that is good. The doctor has ordered Zack on house arrest due RSV season...which makes me on house arrest as well. She has also warned against him being around little kids...which Scot likes to follow to a "T." I think her recommendations are a bit strong, but figure I'm not a doctor & if he gets sick I am going to feel pretty lame...so I will follow them for now & just post lots of pictures for you all to see!

This morning our appointment was at 10:20, but seriously, these days that is like the crack of dawn! It seems I am usually crawling out of bed around 9:30 or 10 - which was not my prior style. I was definitely more of a morning person, but I am learning to become more of a night person as I have more 2 am feedings! This morning Zack was up at 5 am bright eyed and bushy tailed...I figure at least the morning news is on at that point so other people must be up at that time too!

Anyway, here are his latest & greatest pictures!

This was at about 9 am this morning...he finally fell back asleep just before we needed to leave for the doctor. He sat propped up on my bed while I got ready & he just looked so dang cute...probably because he is asleep!

The Pacifier! Yeah! He still hasn't quite figured it out, but it is magical when he does because the crying stops!

On Wednesday my sister took some pictures of Zack (I broke the doctor's orders for pictures...that is totally understandable in my opinion!). Anyway, she took the absolute cutest pictures of him! This is just a sample...I am trying to decide which one to use for his announcement, but know it won't be these ones, so I thought I would share them now.

Oh my gosh he is really really cute you guys!Congrats again.

I love the pictures your sister took especially the black and white one. I can't wait to see the one you chose for his announcement.

He sounds really healthy. Shots are the worst. They get even worse as they get older. Cameron has his one year appointment next week, we are not excited.

I can't believe you were 10 lbs. That is huge!

Stay indoors, it's not worth the chance.

Hopefully we can see you all soon.

He is precious Amy! Love the shots (my mom actually forwarded them to me! So I have my very own - ha!)! Oh, and I mean the photo shots, not the needle shots...
