after his afternoon nap, which did surpass 2 hours. yippee. i headed to scouts (my new calling) and z chilled with deb (my mom). upon my return, i found a no-shirted, wet little boy playing outside. shocker. deb handed over the reigns & the playing continued. i tried to take it out back because then i can multi-task in the kitchen (read: zack can entertain himself in an enclosed area with all risks visible from kitchen window & i might possibly get something done). however, z had other plans. mind you there are gobs of toys provided out back...some quite new, but no, no, he'd rather play with KEVIN'S toys out front. he has abandoned the mastered razor for far greater entertainment...the skateboard. with 3 to choose from he can't go wrong. typically he will lay on his stomach, dirtying his hands as he scoots himself back & forth, back & forth. today however he decided to try & stand, paddling the "proper" way. this is painful to watch. thankfully he grew a better idea & knelt & then paddled with the other leg. this wasn't quite so painful to watch. here he is in action...
love the tongue sticking out...classic little boy, right?he's finally got it mastered...the tongue out & a little smirk. love it.
notice the legs??? i swear, lest you think i am kidding when i say he is carazy, the proof is in the pudding. he re-opened the one scab with not a tear shed. could it have been from all the kneeling??? perhaps so. my friend today (who has a little girl) told me she was constantly on the edge of her seat watching him. i know the feeling. although i have to say it has subsided a bit with time. i'm not too afraid of him falling anymore. he doesn't over react which is surprising & a relief to be honest. and i suppose i like that he's willing to get out there & get banged up a bit. that's part of life, right? nothing a bubble bath can't solve.

Love the new hairdo Z! Man that kid is tough-nice knees!
What a little stud, he's so dang cute!!!
I can't believe his legs, poor kid:( I heard someone say once "kids are on suicide watch for the first few years of life" that is so true...
Love the dirty-billy picture. Save it for the wedding video.
Z-man is constantly on the go. He is certainly following in his father's footsteps....California Skate Board Boy! Hmmm
hey Amy-
I loved catching up on you guys. Congrats on the new baby! I was shocked to read it because my little Brooke and Zack were born on the same day, and we are actually also having baby #2 in April. I'm due April 15 (tax day, nice), so we'll see what happens. Wouldn't it be crazy if these two kids were born on the same day too? Anyways, just wanted to say congrats, and your new house looks great. How exciting!

Cute Zach! Raising boys has definitely been something to get used to! I'm with you...a little more relaxed now. Some people just look at me like, aren't you going to stop that (they're pretty much always doing something "dangerous") I just smile and pretend not to notice. I think I could tell Josh "No" 100 times and he would still do it...so most of the time I just warn once, sit back and let him figure out on his own that he is going to get hurt. -unless, of course, it is deadly and then my action is run, tackle and hold! :) Josh and Zach sound a lot alike...fearless and accident prone! Not a good combination. Good luck if #2 is a boy!!!
ha ha
This makes me want to get Ez a skateboard -- except he gets all the beat up just walking around! I feel your pain with Scot being out of town Ryan has been gone this whole month, it sucks!
