Recently Zack has been doing so many cute & funny things, that I feel I need to have my camera with me everywhere I go. His personality is really starting to come to light. You know, the kind of things where it is cute the first time & maddening the tenth? For instance, I tell him "No. No. Zack." As in don't put your finger in the electrical socket, keep your hands out of your own poop & don't eat the rocks (grass, leaves & flowers are fair game). What do I get in return...2 chubby cheeks with a toothless grin as he, of course, proceeds in his above described reckless behavior.
Late last week was a prime example of Zack's boyish personality...my sister's kids where here playing & her little boy happened upon an open box of cereal (Honey Bunches of Oats to be exact). He proceeded to take the bag out, thus spilling them all over my mom's family room down stairs. I laughed when my mom discovered the mess, as I heard her pulling out the vacuum & sighing...as only Deb can do. Fast forward 8 hours & Zack is upstairs playing in our family room when I hear the rustle of something plastic. Mind you, plastic bags are one of his favorite toys so oddly enough, I am not one bit alarmed...grocery shopping I grab a couple produce sacks & he is entertained the whole trip, but I digress. So I figure he must have his wipes or something. Thinking to myself, I'll just send this last email & then go see...trying to squeeze in one more second of "Amy" time. Shortly thereafter, I realize that I am not hearing the rustling anymore, but a smacking of the lips. I suppose my email will have to wait, since now he is eating his "wipes." When I got around the couch & discovered this:
I about died (as did my mom). Apparently Drew brought his bag of cereal upstairs & had it in the perfect hiding spot for Zack. I figured since the mess was made I might as well take a few pictures & let him enjoy it a bit...the floor can always use an extra vacuum and let's be honest, it isn't an electrical socket, poop or rocks. Honey Bunches have proven very entertaining & harmless enough.
