We started Saturday morning off with our ward Christmas Party -- Breakfast with Santa. This is my favorite party of the year. We walked down to a neighboring community for hot pancakes, eggs, sausage, hot chocolate...the works. It was a perfect morning! Who would think that in the middle of December you could eat breakfast outside & have it be so enjoyable!
Zack was thrilled to see Santa arrive...in the back of a vintage convertible. He followed him around until we could get our picture taken with him.
He was good sitting on his lap...not a tear shed, but maybe a tad nervous. He told Santa he wanted a bike, dinosaur & tractor. He is completely enthralled with the idea of Santa & all things Christmas...the lights, the blow up snowmen...he's all about it. He still doesn't understand that Santa brings him presents on Christmas morning, imagine his delight when he realizes this! For now, he just thinks you sit on his lap & he gives you a candy cane...good enough for him.
I just had to post this picture because it looks like Zack is dead asleep...when really he just blinked!
We then headed to the Christmas lights that night with some friends. Again, Zack was all about it. At first he kept saying they were "scare me", which really means "scary" but then I told him, "no, they are pretty or beautiful." So the rest of the night he went around saying they were beautiful. He thought the camels on the front lawn looked like dinosaurs & loved going past those with a "roar." On the way home I think he said, "bye bye dinosaurs" about 100 times. It was pretty funny.
