Dear Zack.

I love this picture of you. It captures your silliness perfectly at this age. You are always finding something to giggle about which usually means trouble isn't far behind.

You've had a big adjustment with Livs joining the ranks & I'm happy to say, you've adjusted marvelously. While you are still 100% your rough & tumble self...you show a certain softness for your sister. You console her in the car with "It's okay Livs...we're almost home." & I wish I could bottle up your little voice.

You're little mind is soaking up everything around you. Often times if I am talking on the phone you will repeat whatever it is I am saying, making it hard for me to concentrate on my phone call! You also do this when we read scriptures. You want to hold the book & repeat the phrases.

You are learning the schedules & routines of life. You know how to get your own drinks, where to find your snacks & your happy to retrieve a pacifier for Livs when she's crying or bring me my phone when it is ringing. You are quick to help & often times you do it before I can even ask you.

I appreciate your patience with me as I learn my new role as a mother to two. Sometimes you have to wait & sometimes you get the short end of the stick. Sometimes I'm frazzled & impatient with you & I am grateful for your forgiving nature & the ease & quickness you show in saying "sorry" & giving hugs & kisses.

I love your sweet nature underneath all your boy. I love your giggles. And I love when you come marching in the back door to tell me about the bug you found. It is always followed by an invitation & hand gesture to "c'mon" and see your latest discovery.

Please don't ever grow up. And please don't ever stop asking me to "c'mom mom" for I want to be wherever you are & do whatever you're doing.
