I am sharing the good with the bad. And I've put off my "bad" post. Well put it off no more!Livs marked 5 weeks yesterday. The witching week if you will where my sleep deprivation & her increased alertness collide. The countdown to week 6 which in my mind marks "making it" & coming out of the woods & a schedule just on the horizon. Wednesday was a doozy...but Thursday a new day. Why are their worst days followed by their best?
But I regress as this post really isn't about Livs. It is about her evil counterpart, Scoobs. Last night Livs slept an unprecedented 7 hours straight. She then woke up to eat, which took a total of 30 minutes & she was off to dreamland again for 3 hours. I went to bed 1 hour after her & if I add that up I could have had a grand total of 9 hours of sleep. I'm salivating just thinking about it, yet I only logged my usual 5.5.
Why you ask? Scoobs. He was awake & making his presence known from 12:30 - 3:00 am.
Seriously. He's lucky to be alive. I have no idea what his deal was except that he wanted milk. Which I resisted & then gave in to...twice.
I am desperate for a Sonic Diet Coke & yet have sworn off caffeine while nursing.
I will be wasting my day away by the pool {i know...not a bad way to spend a bad day} wearing out a certain 2-year-old & strategizing to get both kids sleeping this afternoon so that their mother doesn't go freak crazy on them.
Curse you sleepless nights.

How can you get mad at that cute little face! Love the green fruit loop story! You are in for it girl!
Hang in there! Sorry your little man isn't cooperating....and why wasn't your hubby taking care of him while you sleep! Oh well, at least lil sis is almost a good sleeper!
When mine got old enough to say they didn't want to nap, I did this. First, I had 3, so I put one on the floor on one side of the bed and one on the floor on the other side of the bed, each with a favorite blanket and toy or book, then the little one on the bed. My rule was, you don't have to go to sleep, but if I don't get a nap, it is going to be very unpleasant around here, so you have to be quiet. They learned to be quiet as church mice and always fell asleep, it worked for about 2 years.
Get yourself your Diet Coke girl!!
ya Im dreading those sleepless nights already! Can I please hire a night nanny just so I can sleep?!
oh, amy..amy..amy! you are funny, funny, funny! didn't you know a mother will never get a good night's sleep once she becomes a mother??? it's true. Always something to think or worry over. Plus, just think at least you only had to get up to feed one baby. Enjoy it while it lasts, seriously...i would give anything for those joyous, quiet moments. I never really got them. There was always another baby screaming next door.
