Stroller of Dreams

Kara asked about my stroller in my last post & frankly, I'm more than happy to tell you all about this little treasure of mine.

It is a Kolcraft Contours 3-Wheeler. Available on Amazon for under $140...what a bargain!!!

Before I had Scoobs, I searched far & wide for the perfect stroller. Just ask Scot...I was obsessed. I would drive all around town to test certain ones out always leaving disappointed & unsatisfied. Until I was at my doctor's office & saw a picture of this bad boy in a magazine. I stole the magazine so that I could reference it & find the stroller.

I could not find it anywhere to test drive.

I therefore, bought another one {the Graco Metrolite to be exact} only to get it home, put it all together & admit to myself that I hated it. The only good thing about that stroller is that it folds up small & you can have a perfectly matching car seat to go with it.

So I returned it...and that is a story in & of itself.

I was back at the drawing board. 9 months pregs & really wanting the stroller I had seen in the ad {except in the ad it was light blue/yellow & I didn't like that color}. I again, tried to find a place to see it in person & was successful in finding a store that had it. I drove 20 minutes only to find a less than helpful employee who didn't know how it worked or how to fold the thing...plus, the color was still ugly.

I was disappointed & ready to give up, but not without one more online search. Tada! Amazon had the stroller & it was coming out in Ruby Red shortly. I immediately placed my order! It arrived in the mail about a month after Scoobs was born & I've been happy ever since.

Seriously, the only bad thing about this stroller is that it is big when folded...but what good stroller isn't big when folded???

It comes with a carseat attachment & will fit most carseats {I have a red/black Graco one that matches well}.

The seat shown can be taken in or out {for when you use your carseat} & turned around. If you'll notice in my last post the seat is facing the other directon.

The basket is huge, durable & easy to get in & out of.

But the best thing is that this thing turns on a dime & takes about zero effort to push. This makes going in & out of doors a dream. I did not take this stroller when we went to Hawaii in February & I think I said 10 times a day every day how mad I was that I left it behind. It makes my life so much easier.

Plus, it works well as a jogger too since you can make the front wheel stationary.

With baby #2 I have not replaced this stroller & it is still the one I use the most.

Thanks for the post...I'm in the market for a new stroller! Are they real wheels or plastic?

The wheels are plastic, which means they aren't ever flat! They have held up great & are really durable...don't know how they'd fair in snow though.
