Let it be known that from here on out I may be in my bathing suit the majority of most days. I love summer...always have, always will. This picture is from a few years ago on our annual Newport trip. This is my favorite week of the year because it defines summer. Doing nothing in good company, sitting in the sun, at the beach, gossip mag in hand. Perfect.
Today, kicked off summer for me. It was park day...but not just any park day. We all went to the water park at Tempe Town Lake. As you can see I am in full "mom mode." I told Scot I knew I had made the transition to motherhood when the hi-light of my week was park day. sigh. Gotta love it. Today had all the summer elements necessary...sun, water, bathing suits & friends! Love, love, love it! As you can see, Zack was overwhelmed with all the fun that was to be had. I am glad that he is so good-natured to put up with my summer antics...he has already braved the pool without a fuss as well.

How cute is that. Lee fell in love with Zach. You will have to let us babysit sometime. It is great that the park day went so well. Don't you love the water features?

YES... I love water parks. I can't wait to have a babe myself just so I can now justify going :)

i agree that summer is the absolute best time of the year. i swear one of the BIG reasons i wanted to move here was the year around summer. glad park day was a hit; we were bummed we missed it! hopefully we can all do it again!
