Thursday Night...TV Night

Thursday Night, TV Night had an interesting twist last night. Kevin's friends usually come over for The Office as well as our neighbors. We typically spend most of the time telling Kevin's friends to be quiet while we watch the show & getting the scoop of who likes who. Don't you remember being 14? Oh the joy. Last night was no exception to the above, but as it was about time for everyone to head home a dare was issued & accepted.

Kevin has been friends with Beau & Jake since the first grade & to be honest I love these kids...they are actually quite funny & entertaining (expect when they are talking during my show.) They are both currently going with the long, shaggy hairstyle...which I happen to like on them. However, last night we were giving them a hard time & were asking if we could shave their heads. Beau said he'd shave his, if I'd shave mine....his reasoning being that I am married & have no one to impress anyway...umm thanks. Several scenarios were batted around...with promises of payment from Jake's mom (who was there to pick him up), but ultimately, Beau accepted if Jake would shave his. Jake wasn't too keen on the idea, but Beau being Beau, talked him into it...and the rest is history.

Beau is obviously a little more committed to the long hair look...and for the record did not want to sit next to Jake shirtless & have it photo documented. As you can see...Jake is very athletic & frankly kicks all these boys' butts.

It was a fun night. My dad had some other boys in the ward over for church stuff & upon hearing the commotion they joined the fun & manned the video camera. Beau shaving his head is big news around here. We can't wait until his parents get back from Africa so they can see his new 'do. He hasn't had his hair short in over 3 years...his dad will be thrilled, his mom probably not so much. Of all people Beau has the best hair of anyone I know...really it was so thick it was jamming the clippers. And not only that...it was healthy as can be! What the heck? I am starting to wonder how much time he really spent on that mop. Anyway...here's to TV Night
