Ski Trip

Remember that ski trip we took about a month ago? Well I figured it at least deserved to be documented. We stayed with my Aunt Kathy & I must say it was heavenly. We had her whole basement to ourselves which had a totally functioning kitchen, as well as a family room, playroom, a newly remodeled bathroom & enough bedrooms for Zack to have his own. I can't tell you what a big difference it is to stay somewhere were Zack can roam & play. I didn't have to constantly police him. Wonderful. Here are some pictures...

Thanks to my fabulous Aunt Cari, Scot & I were able to ski one day together. Unfortunately, that one day was the most, absolute crowded day ever. I think I spent more time standing in line than skiing...not a good sign. But it was fun nonetheless. If you can't tell...it was FREEZING! I mean bone chilling cold & this day was actually warmer! My face was all dry & chapped for a week afterwards...but the snow was oh so good!!! This was on Sunday...it snowed all day. It was so pretty, cold, but pretty. I did have intentions of building some fantastic snowman with Zack, but instead stayed cuddled up inside with a Diet Coke (I was going to act like it was hot chocolate, but really? It was Diet Coke.)
We did venture out for dinner with my cousin, Dustin, his wife Brooke & their daughter Minie, whom I like to refer to as Mins. Although...her cheeks? Not so mini...they are the kind of cheeks that just sit on her shoulders...so chubby & cute!!! I just wanted to eat her up! It doesn't hurt that Brooke always has her dressed to a tee...girls are so fun.We also had dinner with my aunt's family...Zack loved playing with Austin & will venture to say that Austin liked playing with Zack as well. I love hanging out with the Framptons...they come to Newport with us in the summer & we all have so much fun laughing at each other. On this particular visit, my cousin, Lacee, had found some of the ugliest pictures of me from my youth...oh man...they were bad. I become the joke the rest of the night...shocker.

We also got to see the whole fam (my mom has 5 sisters) thanks to my Aunt Alice who hosted the dinner at her place. It was so fun to see all my cousins & their kids...man, we are like a rabbit farm the way we reproduce!!!

What a fun trip! I must say I'm jealous a bit. We live in Flagstaff and I won't be able to go skiing/snowboarding all season because of the baby on board. I guess there is always next year.

I must say that I feel your pain with your hubby being gone. Spence and I were away from each other for two weeks one time and it surely made me appreciate all that my hubby does. Enjoy your reunion soon!
