Moving Forward

We made it to our new abode. It was stressful, busy & down right exhausting!!! The night before we moved was a late one & then Zack was up a couple times breaking a fever! Ah man, poor guy! He at least slept in on moving day, only to be yanked from his crib & thrown into a packed car. I had planned on having him at my sister's for moving day...she's pregnant too & has 3 kids so that was the perfect "moving day job" for her! BUT given his sickly state, he chilled with us. At least he was
somewhat lethargic & willing to watch movies on his little DVD player. Mind you, he was also out riding his razor through the neighborhood & making friends. Does this kid ever stop? I'm starting to think not.

We've spent the last 3 days unpacking box after blasted box, installing a fan or two, un-kinking fridge water lines, making internet connections, moving washers & dryers, mopping the acres of tile that are now ours & just trying to get Zack & I over our colds & overall sicknesses!

I have to give a shout out to my sister's husband, Ryan, who has answered all our beck & calls. He's a superintendent for Ashton Woods Homes & has been a life saver!!! He is Scot's go-to guy when he has messed up the fan...again. Which by the way, Scot has been a trooper on the fans & I love when he starts one thinking it will just take an hour or two...SIX hours later, Ryan is here to save the day. Really, I am just not the least bit helpful in standing on a ladder holding a fan & trouble shooting. Call me crazy!
We also got Zack's "big boy" bed set up. While he's not yet sleeping in it, he does love to give it a good jump or two.

He has also decided to be the neighborhood watch & this is his post. He has watched every tractor & truck for the last 3 days from this very spot. Notice his sippy on the window sill? Refreshments are a key ingredient to his success.

Why is the picture of Scot and Ryan on the ladder together so hilarious? I'm thinking of all the home projects we've been through--been there, done that, remember the frustration!
