Dirk aka Dork

It is not often that I would allow such a dismal image to grace the pages of my blog, but after last night's lost I couldn't resist. I mean really is this the guy that the NBA thinks should be MVP??? An MVP should be the leader of his team and carry them on his back if necessary for them to win games. Dirk, or as my family likes to call him, Dork (I know we're real creative, aren't we?) continues to choke. So much so, that soon he will surpass Karl Malone for all-time choker. The Mavs had their shot to win it all last year, and he choked. He choked in the last seconds against the Suns...missing the game-winning shot, and he continues to choke against Golden State...guys he is a foot taller than. Let's remember Steve Nash was the one who hit the game winner against Dallas...not Dirk.

The Mavs website has a big banner reading: Dirk for MVP...that's funny. About as funny as Mark Cuban pouting after each loss. I think Kobe is more deserving of an MVP than Dirk...and that it saying alot cause I can't stand that guy. But I'm more nervous when Kobe's got the ball in the last seconds than Dirk. He's total clutch & can dominate a game...too bad all his talent is wasted on a stinky team.

I won't be surprised if Dallas ends up winning the series, the Suns did it last year against the Lakers, but they are definitely going to come out of it a bit battered and bruised & in the West you can't afford those extra games. Gotta love this game, right?
