Dear Olivia.

Long before you were born, I knew you were waiting to come to me. When I was pregnant with Zack I knew he was going to be a boy and when I was pregnant with you, I knew you were to be my little girl.

It is an interesting thing as I look back. I knew I wanted a boy first {to be your protector} & before finding out Zack's gender, I knew he was that boy. But as I was pregnant with him, knowing he was a boy, I found myself daydreaming of holding my little girl.

Now that you are here {4 weeks today} I can see the unique bond you & Zack have. He is so gentle & kind with you. He runs to you when you cry & is captivated by your every move.

When we found out you were a girl, I was over the moon excited & frankly couldn't believe that my intuitions were right all along. Your dad & I had one heck of a time deciding on a name for you. We went back & forth creating lists & editing those lists. It was quite comical. I would ask for everyone's opinion, but knew sooner or later, it would just come to me & that would be that.

About 1 week prior to your scheduled delivery I had the most amazing experience with you. I was very nervous about the c-section {I hate surgery} and my great friend, Ashlee, who does energy therapy offered me her services. I quickly took her up on her offer, as she is one of the most spiritual & sound-minded people I know.

We talked on the phone for a good hour, clearing energy blocks & discussing my concerns. Ashlee uses an energy machine, so to speak, to read my energy levels & then positive affirmations to clear blocks & plug them in with positive reinforcement. I don't completely understand how it all works, but I love doing sessions with Ashlee. So anyway, Ashlee kept coming back to you & asking if I had any concerns there. I really didn't & kept telling her so.

Ashlee was confused on her end & finally asked me if I felt like I had known you before, or if I had known you would come. I didn't hesitate to reply yes, of course I knew you were coming. And I this point I remember the Spirit coming over me so strongly confirming my feelings for you & your place in our family. Then Ashlee went on to read your energy & tell me how amazingly strong your little spirit was. She said that you were surrounded by so many loved ones prior to coming to this earth that had specifically prepared you for your life's mission. You were unique in your abilities & your capacity to change lives was incredible. Then she said something that caught my attention. She told me there was someone in particular with you & we were trying to figure out who it was when she told me to pray specifically for what I needed. At that point, I knew it was my Grandpa Schaar with you, as he used to constantly say those exact words. I asked Ashlee if it was him & it added up on her end.

I know all this might sound weird or far fetched, but at this moment the Spirit bore witness to me of your divine worth & the preparations that were being made for your arrival. I know you have the ability to change the lives of those around you...as you have already changed mine & your fathers.

In past times I have felt my ancestors close, but never as close as I did this day.

Olivia, you come from a rich heritage. You were prepared for a great mission prior to coming to this earth. I pray that you will seek it out through prayer & scripture study. Your Heavenly Father is so aware of you & your needs, all you have to do is ask. Never forget who you are or where you come from.

I love you. Your dad loves you & we can't wait to see you grow.
