Easter in San Diego

While I understand Easter feels like it was eons ago...it still hasn't made its way to my bloggity blog. So here goes.

For Easter we headed out to San Diego. We were toying with the idea for quite some time...and then found out Scot's grandparents were going to be visiting & we thought it was the perfect timing to see both grandparents & great-grandparents. I don't think they'd ever met Olivia!

We got in late Thursday night/early Friday morning. Scot is one of those leave at 6 pm, get there at 1 am kind of drivers. I don't love it, but it does reduce the kid nuisance factor as they both sleep a large majority of the drive. So we do it. But we also pay for it the rest of the weekend as it wears us all out. If only my kids were good sleepers when we travel. I was expecting the hiccups with Olivia, but even Zack was an issue this time. man. I was t.i.r.e.d.

But we had fun & sometimes that is the price of fun.

and of course the beach. good even when it is cold.
and the Easter bunny did find its way to us in San Diego, but in all my Easter pics Livs has a naked bum...she developed a terrible rash while we were there & I thought I'd spare you the details!
