The Reception

Can I just say sometimes there are times that it totally bites to have an 18 month old to tote along with you, but at other times it totally rocks! I've experienced both extremes today -- water spilled down my dress & carrying Z out in the football hold, that bites. Or the time tonight when people are trying to "catch up" with me while Zack is literally trying to bite my face off, pull my hair & rip out my earrings. Lovely...I love that ripped-out-hair look. However, once the reception is over, someone has to take Z home to bed...aww shucks, I suppose I'll go tuck him in & sit in bed blogging while you all clean up. Someone's gotta take care of the kid, right? That's when it rocks. Or when he is asleep in the car before you get out of the parking lot & then snuggles with you while you unload him & carry him to bed, but before you can put him down, he's got to give you all sorts of kisses...that's the best!
This is Scot & I with his brother (far left), 2 cousins & his cousin's girlfriend, whom gets my full stamp of approval. She is super cute & short like me! yeah for shorties!!! Plus, she liked Zack's maniac ways. Do you like the sippy cup in my pocket? I was trying to "hide" it with my arm...it apparently didn't work too well!

So here is the run down on the reception. It was beautiful! Kudos to Scot's mom for being the beauty & the brains behind it all -- I think she's thrilled its over & more importantly that it went smoothly. See all those Chinese lanterns behind our heads -- they hung all of those today!!! Soo cute!
April this picture is for you so you can see my dress! Although the photographer cut off your fave part (and mine too) -- the shoes!!! hello? what the heck? haha. Here are the shoes from behind -- I'm sure you can imagine the rest.

Zack was a complete maniac the entire night, but in his ever cute self. I think I heard "oh, he's an active one" about 30 times tonight -- no exaggeration. But we made it until the dancing started & then he was happy as a lark. Phew. In between his maniac ways he managed to kiss about 20 guys & girls -- he's still an equal opportunity kisser -- and hammed it up for the camera on multiple times (I wonder where he got that trait from...hmm).

Sorry I have no pictures of the bride & groom -- remember how I was saying sometimes it bites to have an 18 month old to cart around? Well...he's the reason there are no pictures. He was seriously on overload tonight. No being necessarily bad, just active...in to anything & everything! One of us had to be on constant Z patrol.
This picture has nothing to do with the reception, except that it was taken today as I was trying to get ready -- one question, should I be worried I have a gamer on my hands??? I mean, look at him, he's giddy!

It looks so pretty, I want to see more of the decoration, but I understand those details have to slip by when you have a toddler!

Cute pictures Amy! you look like a hottie in that dress! Looks like you had a fun and busy time! Zach reminds me alot of Carter. I guess its just that age. Carter also gives kisses freely. sometimes to freely! He just goes up to complete strangers and kisses them right on the lips! IM like hello! Do you think its too soon to teach him about stanger danger?! haha.
