CHAMPS!

You may not believe that we actually won the championship if you read about our first game, which was a dismal 15-0 loss...but in fact, we went undefeated in our division. Come to find out the first game we played was against the top gold team (we're the top silver team). We thought they all played HS soccer together...turns out we were wrong...they were all home from college where they play on scholarships. No wonder we got our little rears handed to us! All of the sudden that loss doesn't feel so bad!

We played our championship game last night at 8 pm and we were all nervous! We started out just playing for fun & now we had made it to the championship undefeated. We all had to perform. We started the game and quickly went down 2-0...ugh! My sister, Lindsey had about 20 shots on the goal in the first half, but couldn't sink any of them. One even popped in & out & the ref called it no goal...what??? With a minute left in the first half Lindsay, my friend from HS, finally sunk a shot. phew, we were at least on the board.

We came out in the second determined to win & to just keep shooting -- I swear we had more shots on goal than any other game. Lindsay had another shot that went in & out & I think the ref called "roughing the goalie"...no goal. Finally, Kim & Lindsay, our best shooters started nailing their shots -- we really made their goalie work overtime -- and we came out on top 5-2. Woot. Woot.

We all had a few injuries & sore spots, Kristy's bloodyvscratches I think took the cake, but the super cool trophy & t-shirts made us all feel much better. haha.
