I know what you're thinking...That can't possibly be what I think it is, is it? While this flashback isn't flashing back all that long ago, it is time to post it & I figured this was the best way. Scot & I finally made a decision on a house & we are building. We signed the papers about a month ago & I haven't posted it because sometimes these things need to marinate a bit. We are building, which we said we'd never, in the one place we said we'd never. No wonder it took us so long...we're stubborn! After looking at resale for over a year & not finding anything that clicked for us we re-visited building. Or I should say, I re-visited it & then convinced Scot to come along. We initially were going to buy a spec home as we did not want to go through the building process, but after Scot's analysis (which is always intense) we decided it would be better to build. We were anxious to get into something sooner, but realize patience is key. Plus, life isn't too bad at my parents! :)
Our house will be in Gilbert & ready sometime in July & while I said I'd never live there I think it will be perfect for our little family. I suppose you could say I was seduced by the abundance of grass, parks & tree-lined streets. We'll keep you updated on the progress!

yea! we've been waiting for news like this... I hope you feel great about it, can't wait for all of the overanalyzing over every little decision to come, yipee!
congrats to you both! what a fun time to be at. i have to say, i'm a bit jealous. what i wouldn't give to be able to "choose" my house. we have NEVER been able to do that! one day...i'm hoping! i'm happy for you both, plus it's close by!
